What is Odaban Excessive Sweating Antiperspirant Spray?
Odaban Excessive Sweating Antiperspirant is a treatment that works to suppress the effects of excessive sweating and hyperhidrosis. This spray can be used to control the effects of excessive on the head and face, hands, feet, armpits, back, torso, and genital area. This spray works thanks to the active ingredient aluminium chloride hexahydrate, which partially blocks the sweat glands which forces the perspiration to go elsewhere, either to other glands where it evaporates easier or to the kidneys. This antiperspirant can be used by those with sensitive skin.
What causes excessive sweating?
Excessive sweating is most likely to be caused by exercising and/or hot weather. Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating which does not have a known cause. Hyperhidrosis is most likely to be caused by an unknown condition that is not medical but in some cases, it can be due to an underlying condition. Conditions that can cause hyperhidrosis to include:
- Diabetes
- Low blood sugar
- A heart attack
- A disorder in the nervous system
- Hot flushes caused by menopause
- An infection
Some types of medication can also cause excessive sweating as a side effect when used.

How should Odaban Excessive Sweating Antiperspirant Spray be used?
Before using the spray, ensure that the skin is completely dry. Talc may be needed to dry the skin before application. If had a bath or shower, leave at least an hour before using the spray. To use, apply one or two sprays at night before going to bed. Women and those with sensitive skin should apply using cotton wool and use a small amount. After applying at night, wash the spray off in the morning. Do not use the spray during the day. Only use Odaban once or twice a week. For treatment foot odour, use daily for a week and then once or twice a week afterwards. Avoid applying the spray to clothes, the mouth, eyes, or on broken skin. Store in a cool place, and away from any flames.
Are there any side effects?
Any side effect of using this spray is most likely to be caused by an allergic reaction. If you notice any side effect, speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. You can also record any side effect that you notice using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
