What is Nyda Head Lice Treatment Pump Spray And Comb?

Nyda Head Lice Treatment is a solution that helps to find relief for a head lice infestation. This treatment contains the active ingredient dimeticone. Dimeticone works by getting into the breathing system of the lice and suffocating them. As a result, they cannot build up immunity to this treatment.

What causes a head lice infestation?

A head lice infestation is caused by contact with someone who already is suffering from one. Head lice are contagious and can spread through sharing items such as combs, brushes, hats, headphones, and towels as well. Symptoms of head lice include itchiness on the head, the feeling of something crawling, and also scabs and irritation.

Who is this treatment suitable for?

This treatment can be used by adults and children aged 2 and over. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients that are contained in the treatment. Anyone who is using any other form of medication should speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using. If you have used any hair care or dying products, take caution when using this solution.

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this head lice solution?

Someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should not use Nyda and instead speak to a medical professional for advice on what head lice treatment is suitable for them.

How should Nyda Head Lice Treatment Pump Spray And Comb be used?

Wet the hair using the treatment and leave for 30 minutes. Massage the solution into the scalp and hair, using the comb if necessary. After the 30-minute period, use the comb to carefully remove any lice and eggs in the hair. Do not wash the hair, instead, leave it for 8 hours or overnight. Afterwards, wash out with normal shampoo. After 8-10 days, check for any head lice again and re-use the treatment if necessary.

Are there any side effects?

Any side effect will most likely be caused by an allergic reaction. An allergic reaction could cause a skin reaction, such as inflammation, redness, or swelling. If you notice a side effect, stop using this treatment immediately and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. You can also record any side effect that you notice using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
