What is the Nicorette Inhalator?

The Nicorette Inhalator is a type of NRT treatment designed to help you to quit smoking for good. The inhalator gives you the nicotine your body is craving, without having to resort to smoking as you quit. Some people find that holding the inhalator in their hand makes them miss holding a cigarette less, which could make quitting feel easier. If you’re looking for a way to cut down smoking and finally quit, the Nicorette Inhalator could be the helping hand you’ve been searching for.

Why is it so hard to quit smoking?

Many people find it hard to quit smoking as they find that their body craves the nicotine in cigarettes, which can cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Some people find that their cravings are worse at the times when they would usually smoke, for example, when they’re out with friends, on their lunch break, or when they’re feeling stressed, and many people find that they relapse if the cravings get to be too much. Some of the withdrawal symptoms you may experience if you cut down on your nicotine intake too quickly include:

  • Feeling irritable or aggressive
  • Feeling low or sad
  • Anxiety
  • Restlessness
  • Finding it difficult to concentrate
  • Increase in appetite or weight gain
  • Waking up in the night
  • Lowering of your heart rate

How will the Nicorette Inhalator help me to quit smoking with NRT?

The Nicorette Inhalator is a type of treatment called NRT (nicotine replacement therapy), which helps you to quit smoking by replacing your cigarettes. The cartridges in this inhalator contain nicotine, and you can use your inhalator when you’re craving cigarettes, easing your cravings and other symptoms caused by nicotine withdrawal. Quitting using NRT products, like inhalators, patches, and chewing gum, can also help you to slowly cut down on the amount of nicotine your body craves every day, making it easier to quit than going cold turkey.

Can I use this product if I’m pregnant?

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding you should give up smoking right away, and should do this without using any NRT, if possible. If you can’t manage to quit by yourself, then you can use NRT like the Nicorette inhalator to help you to quit. However, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before doing this, to make sure you’re using the right treatment for you.

Can I use this product if I’m taking any medication?

If you’re taking any medication, make sure to speak to your doctor before using a Nicorette inhalator. Some medications can interact when used together, and a medical professional will help you to be sure the products are safe to use together and adjust your dosage if necessary. This especially applies to:

  • Insulin or other diabetes medication
  • Theophylline, which is used for asthma
  • Clozapine, which is used for schizophrenia
  • Ropinirole, which is used for Parkinson’s disease

How to use this product

Twist the 2 sections of the mouthpiece until the marks on the side line up and then pull the mouthpiece apart. Insert a cartridge into the bottom of the mouthpiece and push down firmly until the seal breaks. Then, push the top and bottom of the mouthpiece back together with the cartridge still inside and twist to lock. To use, simply inhale using the inhalator as you would a cigarette. Each cartridge will last for around 40 minutes of intense use, which you can break up throughout the day to tackle your nicotine cravings. Do not use more than 6 cartridges a day.
