What is Mycota Cream?

Mycota Cream is an athlete’s foot treatment which works to treat the cause of athlete’s foot while relieving irritating symptoms. Mycota Cream can help to relieve itching and swelling caused by athlete’s foot, with a treatment that helps to prevent the infection from coming back.

What is athlete’s foot?

Athlete’s foot is an infection caused by fungi on your skin. When the fungi that live on your skin are given a warm, moist environment to thrive in, they can cause infections, one of the most common being athlete’s foot.

How does Mycota Cream treat athlete’s foot?

Mycota Cream contains two active ingredients which fight athlete’s foot, these are undecylenic acid and zinc undecylenate. These ingredients both have antifungal and antibacterial properties, working to fight the fungi which cause the athlete’s foot infection.

How to use Mycota Cream.

Apply Mycota Cream once in the morning and once at night. Make sure the feet are clean and dry, then apply the cream to the affected area. Massage the cream into the affected area, paying special attention to the area between the toes. Dust with Mycota powder. Continue treatment for one week.

When should Mycota Cream not be used?

Mycota Cream should not be used on broken skin. Do not use Mycota Cream if the area between your toes is severely irritated. Do not use Mycota Cream if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. Avoid getting Mycota Cream in your nose or mouth.

Like all medicines, Mycota Cream can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These side effects include:

  • Rash
  • Itching
  • Wheezing
  • Irritation of the skin

If you experience these or any other side effects while using Mycota Cream, stop using this product and speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist right away. Any side that you notice can also be reported using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
