What is Metatone Tonic?
Metatone Tonic is a liquid food supplement designed to support you and your body when you’re recovering from an illness or are feeling run down. It’s perfect for when you’ve had a cold or the flu and are getting back on your feet, or if you’re feeling exhausted after a particularly busy or stressful time. It’s suitable for children aged 6 and over, making it the perfect tonic for the whole family during cold and flu season.
How will this supplement help to support me after illness?
Metatone Tonic contains a range of vitamins and minerals chosen to support your health and vitality after an illness. The first is Vitamin B1, which helps to release energy from your food while supporting your nervous system. Manganese helps to support the enzymes in your body, helping it to carry out the essential chemical reactions that keep you at your best. Potassium helps to balance the levels of fluids in your body while also supporting healthy heart function.
Can I take this product if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
You should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Metatone Tonic if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Some products may not be suitable for you or your baby at this time, and a medical professional can help you to choose treatments that are right for both of you.
Can I take this product if I’m taking other medication?
Metatone Tonic is not known to interact with any other medications, so you should be fine to take it with any of your current treatments. However, we recommend speaking to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any two medications at the same time, so you can be sure that the combination is safe and suitable for you.
How to take Metatone Tonic
Take Metatone Tonic two or three times a day, before meals. The amount you will need to take will depend on your age:
- Adults and children over 12: Take one or two 5ml spoonfuls. Do not take more than 30ml a day
- Children aged 6 - 12: Take one 5ml spoonful. Do not take more than 15ml a day
When should this product not be used?
Metatone Tonic is not suitable for children under the age of 6. Do not take this product if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you:
- Have an intolerance to some sugars, as this product contains glucose and sucrose
- Are suffering from alcoholism or are in a high-risk group of patients (for example, those with liver disease or epilepsy), as this product contains 11% ethanol (alcohol)
- Are on a sodium (salt) controlled diet, as this product contains 16.4mg of sodium in each 5ml dose
Does Metatone Tonic have any side effects?
Like all medication, Metatone Tonic can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. If you experience any of the following side effects you may be having an allergic reaction and should seek immediate medical assistance:
- Difficulty swallowing or breathing
- Swelling of the lips, tongue, throat, or face
- Skin rash
Other side effects you may experience include:
- Stomach discomfort
- Feeling sick
- Being sick
- Diarrhoea
- Constipation

How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place which is below 25 degrees C. Do not take this product if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
