What is Lamisil AT 1% Spray?

Lamisil AT 1% Spray is a treatment for athlete’s foot and jock itch which works quickly to fight the cause of infection. If you’re suffering from itchy and irritating athlete’s foot, one simple application of Lamisil AT 1% Spray every day can help to treat your infection fast.

How to use Lamisil AT 1% Spray

Before using the Lamisil AT 1% Spray, clean and dry the affected areas and wash and dry your hands, be sure to only use your towel to prevent passing on the infection. Hold the bottle 5 – 10cm away from the skin and spray thoroughly, ensuring skin is wet. Cover area with gauze if needed. Repeat this process once every day for one week. How will this product treat my athlete’s foot?

Lamisil AT 1% Spray contains the active ingredient terbinafine, which is an antifungal medication. This means that Lamisil targets the fungi that cause athlete’s foot infection, killing them and treating your infection at the source.

What is athlete’s foot?

Athlete’s foot is an infection caused by fungi that live on your skin. When these fungi are given the right conditions in which to thrive, they cause skin infections, such as athlete’s foot. If you have athlete’s foot, you will notice a white, scaly rash that begins between your toes and can spread over the soles and sides of the foot. This rash can be accompanied by an itching or burning sensation.

 

When should Lamisil AT 1% Spray not be used?

Lamisil AT 1% Spray is not suitable for use on children under the age of 16. This product is for external use only, avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and face. This product is not suitable for those who are breastfeeding. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients.

Like all medicines, Lamisil AT 1% Spray can have side effects, although not everybody will get them. These side effects include:

  • Severe allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue, rash).
  • Skin peeling.
  • Itching.
  • Skin lesions.
  • Scab.
  • Skin colour changes.
  • Redness.
  • Burning.
  • Pain and irritation in the site of application.
