What is Hydromol Ointment?

Hydromol Ointment helps to hydrate and soften dry skin and eczema. Ideal for those looking for a soft, easy to apply ointment, that is free from added fragrances, colours, or preservatives. Hydromol Ointment does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, making it ideal for those who are allergic to this ingredient and struggle to find an eczema relief that doesn’t include it. As well as eczema, Hydromol Ointment can be used for any other skin condition that causes dry skin, such a dermatitis and psoriasis.

What is eczema?

Eczema is a common dry skin condition that up to 15 million people in the UK could be suffering with. Eczema commonly occurs in small patches on your hands, elbows, knees, face, and scalp but can occur in much larger, more widespread areas. Some of the most common symptoms of eczema include:

  • Itchy skin
  • Dry skin
  • Cracked skin
  • Soreness
  • Redness
  • Inflammation

How will this product ease my dry, irritated skin?

Hydromol Ointment works as an emollient, which means that it forms a barrier over your skin that helps to keep moisture locked in and irritants at bay. This helps to prevent further dehydration, keeping your skin moisturised and helping to soften the skin whenever you need it most.

Can I use this product if I’m using other medication?

If you’re using any other medication, especially those used on your skin, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product. Some products can interact when used together, making them less effective or causing unwanted effects, but a medical professional can help you to avoid this.

How to use Hydromol Ointment

To use Hydromol Ointment as an emollient, apply whenever needed to help to ease and soften dry skin. To use as a bath additive, begin by melting the ointment in warm water and add the mixture to your bath. To use as a soap substitute, simply used as needed when washing.
