What is Germoloids cream?

Germoloids cream is a treatment for piles that can be used both internally and externally. If you’re suffering from itching, swelling, and irritation caused by piles, Germoloids cream can provide fast relief.

Why do I have haemorrhoids or piles?

The cause of haemorrhoids, also known as piles, is unknown but we do know that a couple of things can contribute. For example, you may get piles if you strain on the toilet during times of constipation, creating pressure in the anus. You may also experience piles during pregnancy.

How does Germoloids cream treat haemorrhoids and piles?

Germoloids cream contains two active ingredients, zinc oxide and lidocaine, which both work to treat piles or haemorrhoids. Zinc oxide helps to shrink swelling in the affected area and protects the area around the anus from damage. Lidocaine is a local anaesthetic which helps to reduce pain, irritation, and itching.

How to use Germoloids cream.

Wash your hands before and after using Germoloids cream. For external haemorrhoids, gently apply the cream to the affected area. For internal haemorrhoids, use the included applicator nozzle to gently insert some cream into the anus. Clean the nozzle after every use. Use Germoloids cream at least twice a day with at least 3 or 4 hours between applications. Do not use Germoloids cream for more than 4 times in 24 hours.

When should Germoloids Cream not be used?

Germoloids cream is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Do not use Germoloids cream if you are allergic to zinc oxide, lidocaine or any of the other listed ingredients. Do not use Germoloids cream if you experience excessive bleeding, have haemorrhoids regularly, or have extreme haemorrhoids.

Like all medicines, Germoloids cream can have side effects, although not everyone will get them. After applying Germoloids cream you may irritation around the area where it has been applied. If you experience this or any other side effects after using Germoloids cream, speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist.
