What is Flomax?

Flomax capsules are a treatment for men who suffer with an enlarged prostate which makes it more difficult for them to pee. Just one capsule a day can help to make urination easier and can reduce the need to pee in those who find that they need to urinate frequently. Flomax is perfect for men over the age of 45 who are searching for a way to make urination easier and less uncomfortable.

What is benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)?

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a common condition in men which makes your prostate get bigger. When your prostate grows bigger, it can put pressure on your bladder and urethra, which can change how you urinate. When you have BPH, it can cause the following symptoms:

  • Difficulty starting to urinate

  • Needing to urinate more often

  • Difficulty emptying your bladder fully

How will Flomax help to ease symptoms of BPH?

Flomax capsules contain the active ingredient tamsulosin, which is part of a group of medicines known as alpha-blockers. This ingredient works by relaxing the muscles in your prostate gland and urethra, making it easier for urine to pass through the urethra, and therefore making it easier for you to urinate when you have BPH.
