Fenbid Gel can be used to soothe lots of different joint and muscle pains, with some of the most popular uses of this product including:

How will the ibuprofen in this product help to ease my muscle and joint pain?

Fenbid Gel contains the active ingredient ibuprofen, which is a popular everyday painkiller. Ibuprofen is a type of medication called an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), which means it works by reducing swelling and inflammation wherever you apply it. This makes Fenbid ideal for soothing swollen or sore muscles and joints, bringing down that inflammation and easing your pain all in one.

 

Can I use this product if I’m taking other medication?

If you’re taking any other medication you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. This especially applies if you’re already taking:

  • Blood pressure medications, e.g. atenolol
  • Blood thinners or anticoagulants, e.g. warfarin
  • Aspirin or any other NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), which are used for pain relief and inflammation

 

Can I use this product if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

Fenbid Gel is not suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you’re suffering from joint or muscular pain during pregnancy you should ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend a more suitable treatment for you.

 

Can I use this gel if I have asthma?

You should not use Fenbid Gel if you have asthma or have ever had asthma. Ibuprofen gels can make asthma symptoms worse in some people, especially if you have an allergic reaction to this product. We’d recommend asking your doctor or pharmacist to recommend another remedy for your joint or muscle pain.

 

How to use this product

Squeeze 4 - 10cm or 1.6 - 4 inches of Fenbid Gel onto the affected area. Gently massage the gel into the skin until it’s absorbed. Do this up to 4 times a day, leaving at least 4 hours between each use. Take care not to get the gel into your eyes or onto any sensitive areas, avoid any cuts, grazes, or otherwise broken skin.

 

When should this product not be used?

Fenbid Gel is not suitable for use in children under the age of 12. Do not use this product if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other similar painkillers, or any of the other listed ingredients. This product is not suitable for those who have asthma, rhinitis, or hives. For use on the skin only, avoid contact with eyes, the insides of your mouth and nose, or other sensitive areas. Do not apply to broken, damaged, infected or diseased skin, take care to avoid cuts and grazes when applying this product. Protect areas where you applied the gel from sunlight. Do not smoke or go near any open flames after using this product, due to the risk of severe burns. Fabric that has come into contact with this gel will burn more easily, so be sure to change bandages, clothes, bedding or any other contacted fabrics regularly and wash them well. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you:

  • Have bronchial asthma, or any other allergic disease
  • Have ever had a stomach ulcer or any other problems affecting your stomach or intestines
  • Have ever had asthma or have attacks of wheezing or asthma
  • Have any kidney problems
  • Develop a rash after using similar products

 

Does Fenbid Gel have any side effects?

Like all medications, Fenbid Gel can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These include side effects caused by serious allergic reactions. If you experience any of the following side effects you should stop use and seek immediate medical attention:

  • Wheezing
  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
  • Rash or itching, especially if it affects your entire body

Other side effects you may experience include:

  • Itching or redness of the skin
  • Burning sensation
  • Sore spots or weeping areas in your skin
  • Stomach pain or any other stomach problems
  • Kidney problems, particularly if you have a history of kidney disease

How to store this product
