Buy Evorel Conti Patches
Evorel Conti Patches is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) that contains two types of female hormones: oestrogen and progestogen. They are used in postmenopausal women with at least 18 months since their last natural period.
The hormones are spread evenly in each patch, slowly passing into your body through the skin, helping to alleviate the symptoms after menopause.
Each pack contains 8 patches.
How Evorel Conti Patches work
Evorel Conti Patches are known as continuous combined HRT. The hormones in the patch are released continuously.
It contains the hormones estradiol (oestrogen) and norethisterone acetate (progestogen).
The patches replace the oestrogen normally released by the ovaries. In women who still have a womb, using an oestrogen hormone regularly may cause the womb lining to build up and become thicker, making it necessary to add a progestogen hormone.
Progestogen helps to shed the lining of the womb, preventing any problems.
Directions
Always use Evorel Conti Patches exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you.
Do not use a patch if its protective pouch is open. Using the notches as a guide, tear along the 2 edges of the pouch. With the protective backing facing you, bend and peel off half of the backing. Don’t touch the sticky side; it may not stick properly if you do.
Place the patch on a hairless area of skin below the waist. Do not apply the patch to the same area of skin twice in a row or on top of cuts, spots, or irritated skin.
Do not put it on or near the breasts.
Do not use creams, moisturisers or talcum powder on the skin before applying the patch.
Do not wear the patch under elasticated areas or a tight waistband.
Apply the open half of the patch to the skin. Remove the remaining backing and press down the rest of the patch. Warm and press the patch down to the skin with the palm of the hand for approximately 30 seconds. Pressure and heat by the hand are crucial to achieving maximum adhesion of the patch.
To remove the patch, peel the edge smoothly away from the skin. Fold the patch in half so that the sticky side sticks to itself.
If your patch falls off, apply a new patch, but keep to your original ‘patch change’ days. If you have just had a bath or shower, wait until your skin cools before you apply a new patch.
You must change your patches twice a week to give your body a steady supply of hormones. Change your patch on the same two days every week. This means one patch is on for three days and the other for four.
When you can start using Evorel Conti Patches
You can put a patch on at the end of a treatment cycle or 2 weeks after you finish using another HRT product if you are changing from a HRT medicine that gives you a withdrawal bleed.
If you are using another type of HRT, the day you can start using Evorel Conti Patches will depend on that type of HRT. You should talk to your healthcare provider for advice on when you can start using the patches.
If you have not been using another type of HRT, you can put on a patch anytime.

Women over the age of 60 who use oestrogen-progestogen HRT are slightly more likely to develop heart disease than those who are not using it.
The risk of having a stroke is higher in HRT users than non-users. The risk of a stroke due to HRT increases slightly with age.
The risk of blood clots in the vein is about 1.3 to 3 times higher in HRT users than non-users, especially during the first year of using it. Blood clots can be serious, and if not treated, they can be fatal.
Using combined oestrogen-progestogen HRT slightly increases the risk of breast cancer. The risk depends on how long you use HRT and becomes apparent within 3 years of use. After stopping HRT, the extra risk will decrease over time; however, if you have used HRT for more than 5 years, the risk may persist for 10 years or more.
