What is Eurax HC Cream?

Eurax HC Cream is a mild hydrocortisone cream used to reduce itching and inflammation in your skin. This non-greasy formula is perfect for those who find that their skin reacts to certain soaps, detergents, types of jewellery, or other things it comes into contact with. It helps to reduce the itching sensation, keeping you from falling into that itch-scratch cycle that can irritate your inflamed skin even more.

What causes skin inflammation and itching?

There are several reasons why your skin could be inflamed or itchy. Some of the most common causes of inflammation include:

  • Eczema

  • Psoriasis

  • Dermatitis

  • Allergic reactions

  • Insect bites or stings

  • Prickly heat rash

How will Eurax HC Cream help to ease my inflamed skin?

Eurax HC Cream contains two active ingredients which work together to reduce inflammation and itching. The first is hydrocortisone 0.25%, which is a corticosteroid, a type of medication that helps to reduce the chemicals released in your skin when it’s inflamed, reducing inflammation that way. The second ingredient is crotamiton 10%, which helps to relieve itching quickly and reduces the urge to scratch. Be keeping you from scratching, this cream helps to prevent further skin damage and reduces your chances of secondary infection.
