Buy Estriol 1mg/g Cream w/ applicator

Estriol is a type of HRT medication that’s used to relieve dryness in the vagina by increasing the levels of oestrogen in your body. As women get older, the ovaries gradually produce less oestrogen; this shortage may cause the vaginal wall to become dry and thin. This medicine works by replacing the oestrogen and is inserted into the vagina, so the hormone is released where it’s needed.

Directions

For how to apply the cream, please follow the instructions and diagrams in the patient information leaflet.

For vaginal problems:

1 applicator up to the ring a day for the first 2-3 weeks, with the dose increasing to 1 applicator up the ring twice a week.

Before or after vaginal surgery:

Before: 1 applicator up to the ring a day for 2 weeks before the operation.

After: Do not use the cream for at least 2 weeks, then use 1 applicator up the ring twice a week.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Estriol cream may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects may include:

  • Irritation or itching in or around the vagina
  • Increased vaginal discharge, bleeding or spotting
  • Skin problems, such as a rash
  • Breasts become swollen, tender or painful
  • Headaches

Warnings

  • Do not use this cream if you are allergic estriol or any of the other listed ingredients
  • Wait one week if you are changing over from another type of HRT where you have a period
  • Do not use the cream again for at least 2 weeks after vaginal surgery
