How Benylin Mucus Cough & Cold All In One Relief works
This complete formula brings together three hardworking ingredients to get you back on your feet. Guaifenesin breaks down stubborn chest mucus, making it easier to clear and lifting that heavy, congested feeling from your chest.
Phenylephrine shrinks swollen nasal passages and dials down mucus production, so you can breathe freely through your nose again. Meanwhile, paracetamol takes care of those aches and pains whilst bringing your temperature back to normal.
Directions
Take two tablets every four hours, as required. Do not take more than eight tablets in any 24-hour period. Do not take anything else containing paracetamol.
Side effects
Common side effects may include:
- Difficulty passing urine
- Rashes, dermatitis or urticaria
- Headaches
- Dizziness
- Insomnia
- Nausea, vomiting and stomach discomfort
- Diarrhoea
- Nervousness, irritability, restlessness, excitability
- Increased blood pressure
- Visual disturbances
Warnings
- Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you have a serious heart condition, high blood pressure, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, an enlarged prostate, glaucoma, have difficulty passing urine, or you suffer from kidney or liver problems
- Tell your prescriber if you are taking/using any other medicines
- This product is unsuitable for children under the age of 12
- Do not drink alcohol while taking these tablets
- This medication can cause dizziness. If you are affected, do not drive or operate machinery until you feel safe to do so
