What are Belladonna Plasters?
Belladonna Plasters are a clinically proven treatment for muscular aches and pains, the only plaster of its type that is licensed for this kind of treatment. These plasters stay in place for 2 – 3 days, helping to warm your sore, tight muscles and easing your pain. These plasters come in two different sizes, so you can choose which is the best for the pain you’re trying to treat. How will Belladonna Plasters help to ease my muscular pain?
Belladonna Plasters use alkaloids extracted from the belladonna plant to help to ease muscular pain by stimulating blood flow in the area of application. This increase in blood flow warms your muscles, helping to release tension, which in turn helps to ease your pain.
What kinds of aches and pains can I use these plasters for?
Belladonna plasters can help to ease lots of different types of muscular aches and pains, with some of the most popular reasons why people use this product including:
- Muscular tension and strain
- Stiff neck
- Aching shoulders
- Sciatica
- Lumbago
- Rheumatism

How big are these plasters?
Belladonna plasters are available in two sizes. The large plasters measure 28 x 17.5cm, and the small plasters measure 12.5 x 9.5cm.
Can I use these plasters if I’m taking other medication?
If you’re taking any other medication, including those you have obtained without a prescription, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Belladonna plasters. Do not use these plasters if you are already taking:
- Any other medicine applied to the skin
- Any medications that contain antihistamines
Can I use these plasters if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
You should not use these plasters if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you’re experiencing muscular pain during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend a suitable product for you.
How to use Belladonna plasters
Before use, make sure the area you wish to apply the plaster to is clean and dry. You can cut this plaster into a more convenient size if you want to. Remove the backing paper from the plaster and apply to the affected area. Remove the plaster after 2 – 3 days, making sure that the plaster is dry before removing it. Apply another plaster if you need to.
When should this product not be used?
Belladonna plasters are not suitable for use in children under the age of 10. Do not use this product if you are allergic to belladonna alkaloids, adhesive plasters, or any of the other listed ingredients. For external use only, avoid contact with eyes, the face, or other sensitive areas. Do not use this product if you:
- Suffer from glaucoma
- Have inflamed or broken skin
Do Belladonna plasters have any side effects?
Like all medications, Belladonna plasters can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These include:
- Skin irritation
- The skin beneath the plaster beginning to hurt

How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place which is below 25 degrees C. Store in original packaging and protected from sources of direct heat and sunlight. Do not use this product if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
