What are Audmonal (Alverine) 60mg Capsules?

Audmonal (Alverine) Capsules are a form of treatment that treats muscle pain, particularly in the intestine and the womb. When you feel tightness, these capsules are an ideal remedy to those aches and pains. These capsules are also suitable for anyone who is suffering from the effects of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). The active ingredient for these capsules is alverine. Alverine is what is called an antispasmodic. An antispasmodic drug helps to stop muscle spasms in the body and can relieve constipation and indigestion.

 

What causes IBS?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a condition that does not have a known cause at this time. It is said that it can be caused by things moving too quickly or too slowly in the gut, as well as stress or a family history of the condition. The symptoms of IBS include stomach cramps, diarrhoea, bloating, and constipation.

 

Who are these Audmonal Capsules suitable for?

These capsules are suitable to be used by adults and children aged 12 and over. They should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the capsules. You should also not use if you have been told that your small bowel is not working properly. Anyone who is using any other form of medication should speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using.

 

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use these capsules?

Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should not use these Audmonal Capsules.

 

How should Audmonal (Alverine) 60mg Capsules be used?

Take 1-2 capsules at a time with a glass of water. Do this up to 3 times a day. Make sure to swallow the capsules without chewing them.

 

Are there any side effects?

As it is a medicine, there is a chance of side effects with these capsules. Potential side effects include:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • A headache
  • A rash or itching

If you notice a side effect, stop using these capsules and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. You can also record a side effect using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
