What is Medi-Derma Pro Foam & Spray Incontinence Cleanser?
Medi-Derma Pro Foam & Spray Incontinence Cleanser is used to gently cleanse the skin after episodes of incontinence. It gently removes stubborn, dried body fluids, such as urine or faeces, leaving skin clean and feeling refreshed. This non-sting cleanser can be used in both a foam or a spray mode, with the spray suitable for lighter soiling and the foam ideal for heavier soiling and tricky, hard-to-reach areas. This product can safely be applied to sore, injured or intact skin.
How to use this product
Always use Medi-Derma Pro Foam & Spray Incontinence Cleanser exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. For external use only. To switch between the spray and foam trigger modes, simply turn the nozzle. To use, apply directly to the skin or onto a clean washcloth. Gently clean the affected area, being cautious not to apply too much pressure or friction. No rinsing is required.
What is urinary incontinence?
Urinary incontinence is a common problem and occurs when you pass urine without meaning to. There are different types of incontinence, including stress incontinence when your bladder leaks when it's under pressure, like when you cough or laugh; urge incontinence is when there is a sudden leaking of urine, followed by an intense urge to empty your bladder.
Overflow incontinence is when you can’t fully empty your bladder, resulting in leaking, while total incontinence is when you can’t store any urine at all, causing you to frequently use the toilet or experience leaking. It's also possible to have a mixture of different types.
When should this product not be used?
Medi-Derma Pro Foam & Spray Incontinence Cleanser may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. This cleanser may affect the adherence of some dressings and devices.
Storage information
Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
