Buy Ligobesy

Ligobesy is an injectable prescription medication that can help obese and overweight adults who have weight-related health problems to lose weight and keep it off.

Ligobesy can be used in adults with a BMI of 30kg/m² or above or a BMI of 27kg//m² with weight-related health problems.

The once-daily, pre-filled injection should be used alongside exercise and a healthy diet.

How Ligobesy works

Ligobesy contains the active substance liraglutide. It is similar to the naturally occurring hormone glucagon-like-peptide-1 (GLP-1), which the intestine releases after a meal.

The medication works by acting on receptors in your brain that control your appetite. It controls your appetite, making you feel fuller and less hungry. It may encourage you to eat less food, which can reduce your body weight.

Directions

Always use Ligobesy exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you.

Your healthcare provider will show you how to use the pen for the first time. You can use it at any time of the day, with or without food and drink. However, you should use it at the same time each day.

The injection should be administered either in the thighs, upper arm or abdomen. Do not inject it into veins or muscles. You should change the area each time you inject yourself.

Preparing your pen

Before you inject yourself, you must check that the solution contains the correct dosage. Pull the cap off the pen and check that the solution is clear. If the solution looks cloudy, do not use the pen.

Take a new needle and tear off the paper tab. Push the needle straight onto the pen and turn it until it is on tight. Pull off the outer needle cap, but do not dispose of it; you will need this later. Always use a new needle for each injection. Never use a bent or damaged needle.

Pull off the inner needle cap and throw it away. A drop of solution may appear at the needle tip; this is normal. However, if you use a new pen for the first time, you must still check the flow.

To check the flow, turn the dose selector until the dose counter shows the dose check symbol. Hold the pen with the needle pointing up. Press and hold the dose button until the dose counter returns to 0. The 0 must line up with the dose pointer. A drop of solution should appear at the needle tip.

If no drop appears, you can repeat checking the flow up to 6 times. If there is no drop, change the needle and check again. If a drop still doesn’t appear, dispose of the pen and use a new one.

Selecting your dose

Turn the dose selector until the dose counter shows your dose. If you select the wrong dose, you can turn the selector forward or backwards until you get the correct dose.

Always use the dose counter and dose pointer to see how many mg you have selected before injecting yourself. The chosen dose must align with the dose pointer to ensure you get the correct dose.

Injecting your dose

Insert the needle into your skin, ensuring you can see the dose counter. Do not cover it with your fingers, as it could interrupt your injection.

Press and hold down the dose button until the dose counter shows 0. The 0 must line up with the dose counter. You may hear or feel a click. Keep the needle in your skin after the dose counter has returned to 0 and slowly count to 6. If you remove the needle earlier, you may see the solution coming from the needle tip, meaning the entire dose has not been administered.

Always watch the dose counter to know how many mg you are injecting.

Remove the needle from the skin. If blood appears at the injection site, press lightly. You may see a drop of solution at the needle tip. This is normal and does not affect your dose.

After your injection

Lead the needle tip into the outer needle cap on a flat surface without touching the needle or outer needle cap. Once the needle is covered, carefully push the outer cap completely on.

Unscrew the needle carefully and dispose of it using a sharps bin. Never try to put the inner needle cap back on your needle. Always remove the needle from the pen after each injection.

Put the pen cap on your pen after each use to protect the solution from light.
