What is Lemsip Cough Max For Mucus Cough & Cold?

This Lemsip treatment is a solution that helps to treat the effects of a cold and a mucus. The capsules contained three active ingredients that help to provide relief for these symptoms. The active ingredients in these capsules are:

  • Paracetamol
  • Guaifenesin
  • Phenylephrine

Paracetamol is a commonly used painkiller that is found in a range of treatments. It also helps to relieve a fever. Guaifenesin is what is called an expectorant. This loosens the mucus that is trapped in the chest, throat, and nose. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that helps to reduce congestion in the nose. This is done by reducing the swelling of the blood vessels that is caused by a cold.

What causes a cold?

A cold is caused by a virus that can spread when coming into contact with someone who is infected. A cold can spread because of the germs that are in the air because of sneezing. These germs can enter the body through the eyes, nose, or mouth. Another way they can spread is by being left on surfaces that are touched by numerous people.

Who are these capsules suitable for?

These Lemsip capsules are suitable to be used by adults and children aged 12 and over. Anyone who is allergic to any of the ingredients contained in the capsules should not use them. These capsules should also not be used if you have or have had in the past:
