Buy Feanolla Contraceptive Tablets
Feanolla Contraceptive Tablets are a progestogen-only pill (POP), also known as the mini pill. It is used to prevent pregnancy.
Like other hormonal contraceptives, Feanolla doesn’t protect you against sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). To protect yourself from STDs, you should also use a barrier method such as a condom.
How Feanolla Contraceptive Tablets work
Feanolla Contraceptive Tablets contain the progestogen hormone desogestrel.
Desogestrel thickens the mucus in the cervix, preventing sperm from entering the uterus. Desogestrel also works by suppressing ovulation.
Directions
Always take Feanolla Contraceptive Tablets exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. If you forget to take Feanolla, please refer to the patient information leaflet for guidance.
The pack contains 28 tablets with the days of the week printed on the blister. If you start taking the tablets on a Wednesday, you must take the tablet labelled “WED.” Follow the arrow as you continue to take the tablets. You will be able to check if you have taken the tablet on a particular day.
When you can start taking Feanolla
When no hormonal contraceptive has been used in the last month
Wait for your period to start. On the first day of your period, take your first Feanolla tablet. You can also take it on days 2-5 of your cycle. However, you must use additional contraception for the first 7 days of taking the tablets.
Changing from a combined pill, vaginal ring or transdermal patch
You can start taking Feanolla on the day after you have taken your last tablet from your last pack. You can also take it on the day your vaginal ring or patch has been removed. If you follow these instructions, you will not need to use additional contraception.
If you start taking Feanolla the day after your ring has been removed, during your patch break or during a placebo tablet interval, you must use additional contraception for the first 7 days of taking the tablets.
Changing from another progestogen-only pill
You can stop taking your current pill any day and start taking Feanolla straight away. You will not need to take any extra contraceptive precautions.
Changing from an injectable, implant or a progestogen-releasing intrauterine device (IUD)
Start taking Feanolla when your next injection is due or the day your IUD is removed. You will not need to use any additional contraceptives.
After having a baby
You can start Feanolla between 21 and 28 days after you have given birth. If you start after 28 days, you must make sure you use additional contraception.
After a miscarriage
Your doctor will advise you when you can start taking Feanolla.
