Why are my eyes sore?

There are a lot of factors that can cause our eyes to feel sore and irritated. Spending time in environments that are dusty or smoky can irritate the eyes and if suitable eye protection isn’t worn foreign bodies can get into our eyes and cause discomfort. Driving or staring at screens for long periods of time can cause our eyes to become dry and uncomfortable. It’s important to look after your eyes throughout the day to keep them healthy and working at their best. Take regular breaks when driving long distances, looking at screens or doing close-up work. Ensure your eyes are suitable protected when spending time in dusty or smoky environments. Take breaks from using your contact lenses by wearing your glasses. Make sure that you are receiving enough sleep, drinking plenty of water and are eating a balanced healthy diet.

How can Optrex Sore Eyes help to soothe your eyes?

Optrex Sore Eye Drops contain the active ingredient Hamamelis Virginiana (distilled witch hazel) which has mildly astringent properties which help to cleanse the eye and provide soothing relief from irritation and discomfort. It works by creating a cooling action which can ease pain caused by minor eye irritations. The eye drops are easy to apply and are suitable for both adults and children.
