What is Suresign Menopause Test?

The menopause is a difficult time for many women, and diagnosing it can be even more so. This Suresign Menopause Test works by detecting the presence of FSH in your urine, providing you with quick, reliable results that give you a clear indication to whether you’re in the menopause. It’s simple and easy-to-use, including 2 tests to give you peace of mind. Plus, you can get your results in as little as 3 minutes!

How to use this product

Always use Suresign Menopause Test exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. If you’re still having monthly periods, take the first menopause test during the first week of your cycle. If this result is negative but you’re still having symptoms, repeat with the second test a week later. If you’re no longer having monthly periods, take the first test anytime during the month and take the second test a week later.

Start by removing the test from the protective sachet and remove the cap. Then, hold the absorbent tip directly under your urine stream for at least 10 seconds. Alternatively, you can place the test into a urine sample. Do not allow urine to touch the testing window. Replace the cap and place the test on a dry, flat surface with the results window facing upwards. Read the results after 3 minutes. Do not read the results after 10 minutes as they may be inaccurate.

Reading the results is simple. If the results are positive, 2 lines will be visible; the test is still positive if the line in the C region is lighter. If the result is negative, 1 line will show in the C region; the test is still negative if there is a faded line in the T region. If the result is invalid, 1 line will show in the T region.

What are the symptoms of menopause?

Women usually start menopause between the ages of 45 to 55, with the UK average currently standing at 51. The time before your periods stop is the perimenopausal stage, and it’s at this time that you may begin to experience symptoms like hot flushes, night sweats, a reduced sex drive, difficulty sleeping, aches and pains, mood changes, and problems with memory and concentration. About 8 in 10 women will have symptoms for some time before and after their periods stop.

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
