What is Omega 3?

Omega 3 fatty acids can be found in a variety of foods, such as fish and in supplements. There are 3 main forms of omega 3 fatty acids:

• Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)
• Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)
• Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA

Alpha-linolenic acid can’t be produced by the body, so we need to recieve it from our diet. ALA  can be found in plant oils, such as flaxseed and soybean nuts and seeds. Eicosapentaenoic and Docosahexaenoic acids can be found in oily fiish such as sardines, salmon and mackerel. It is thought that EPA and DHA can help to protect the heart, as those who live in countries where the diet contains a lot of oily fish, such as the Mediterranean and Japan are less likely to have heart disease compared with those who live in countries where the diet contains less oily food.

How to use this product

Swallow one capsule whole with water. Do NOT chew or suck on the capsule. Do NOT exceed the recommended dose of one capsule per day.
