What is CeraVe Moisturising Lotion?

CeraVe Moisturising Lotion is a milky lotion that helps to hydrate and protect your dry, sensitive skin. If your skin is easily irritated and you’re looking for a moisturiser that will help to support your skin naturally, CeraVe’s long-lasting formula could be the perfect choice for you. This lightweight lotion is free from fragrances and oil and is non-irritating and non-comedogenic, perfect for dry, sensitive, or eczema-prone skin.

What are Ceramides?

Ceramides are natural oils, also known as lipids, which appear in your skin and work to support your skin’s natural barrier. Your skin creates plenty of natural ceramides when you’re younger, but as we start to age the amount created starts to decrease, and when the level of ceramides in your skin gets low you risk damage to your skin’s protective layer. By including ceramides in their products, CeraVe helps to provide your skin with the moisturisers that have been depleted with time, helping your skin to become stronger, more resilient, and more youthful-looking.

How will CeraVe Moisturising Lotion hydrate my dry skin?

CeraVe contains 3 naturally occurring ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which work together to provide long-lasting hydration for your dry, sensitive skin. Hyaluronic acid is a popular ingredient in dry skincare products, as it helps your skin to retain its natural moisture. Ceramides help to support your skin’s natural barrier, so the combination of these ingredients helps to hydrate and protect your skin, ideal for those with dry, sensitive skin that needs a little extra care. This lotion also makes use of CeraVe’s patented MVE® delivery technology to provide moisturisation for up to 24 hours after each use.

What is MVE® delivery technology?

CeraVe’s patented MVE® delivery technology is a revolutionary system which makes this moisturising lotion more effective and longer-lasting. It uses “time-released” spheres to provide stages of moisturisation that keeps your skin hydrated for up to 24-hours. It creates layers over the skin which gradually dissolve to release more of the ingredients in this lotion onto the skin over time, offering long-lasting hydration. Of course, you can apply this milky lotion as needed, but if you find yourself busy and without your favourite moisturising lotion, you can rest easy knowing that the slow release of the ingredients can help to hydrate your skin and restore barrier function for up to 24-hours.

Which skin type is this moisturiser suitable for?

CeraVe Moisturising Lotion is suitable for all skin types, as it’s non-irritating and locks in the hydration your skin needs to look its best. However, this product is particularly suitable for dry to very dry skin, as it helps to moisturise and restore the skin’s natural protective barrier, which is essential when hydrating dry skin. The MVE® delivery technology provides long-lasting hydration for your dry skin, helping to moisturise the skin no matter what you come up against. This product is also non-comedogenic, which means it won’t clog your pores, ideal for those who worry about spots and blackheads.

Can I use this moisturiser if I have eczema?

CeraVe Moisturising Lotion can be used on eczema-prone skin and on other dry or easily irritated skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis. By using non-irritating ingredients and remaining free from fragrances, this milky lotion is ideal for sensitive skin that experiences flare-ups when it comes into contact with harsh ingredients like detergents. It helps to lock moisture into the skin for up to 24 hours while protecting the skin’s natural barrier, which can be damaged when your dry skin condition flares up.

How to use this moisturising lotion

Apply CeraVe Moisturising Lotion liberally to your face and body, smooth gently into the skin. Apply as often as needed to restore and protect your skin.

When should this product not be used?

Do not use CeraVe Moisturising Lotion if you are allergic to hyaluronic acid any of the other listed ingredients. For use on the skin only, avoid contact with eyes and do not swallow. Do not apply to any broken, damaged, infected, or otherwise sensitive skin. If you experience any irritation while using this product stop use right away. If irritation persists, stop use and speak to your doctor or pharmacist. If irritation is particularly severe (for example, a severe allergic reaction) seek medical assistance immediately.

How to store this product
