Well, this topic has fired up our curiosity too, so keep reading to find out more about food supplements and whether there are any that can help to support you with weight loss.

Are there supplements that help with weight loss?

Unfortunately, there are no vitamins or supplements that have been scientifically proven to help you lose weight.

I know that’s probably not what you wanted to hear, but let’s be honest, if there was a supplement that would make you drop a dress size in no time flat then it would be famous worldwide, so this shouldn’t be too big of a surprise!

However, that doesn't mean that that's all we've got to say on this subject, so let's take a little closer look at herbal and natural remedies for weight loss.

Are there any natural supplements for weight loss?

Again, it’s important to note that there are no scientifically proven supplements for weight loss, but there are some herbal remedies that people believe may help you out.

One of the most popular is Bladderwrack, which is also known as fucus vesiculosus, and is found in Adios weight loss aids.

Despite what the name suggests, Bladderwrack has nothing to do with going to the loo — it’s a type of seaweed that is thought by some to help with weight loss by interacting with your thyroid hormones.

It’s thought to do this because it contains a lot of iodine, which is needed by your thyroid gland to regulate your metabolism amongst other functions.

However, the amount of iodine in Bladderwrack can be so inconsistent that it’s impossible to know whether it really has any effect on your weight.

What are the best supplements to boost metabolism?

If you want to give your metabolism a helping hand, you may want to consider some B vitamins.

Although they aren’t proven to help you lose weight, they do help your body to release energy from food, which is essentially what your metabolism is.

B vitamins can be found in a wide range of foods, including meat, fish, leafy greens, and eggs, and are often included in vitamin supplements that claim to help you support your vitality or energy.

Well, as much as I wish I could say otherwise, there is no miracle supplement that will help you lose weight.

If you want to lose some pounds, the best bet is to consume fewer calories and exercise more — it may not be fun but it’s guaranteed to work!

There are also medical weight loss aids like Saxenda and Orlistat that could help you along with your weight loss journey if you have a high BMI, so why not check those out too?

In the meantime, I’ll be here searching in every nook and cranny for a mythical vitamin that will help me drop a dress size in 5 minutes — I think I’ll be more likely to find a flying pig!
