What is Jungle Formula Medium Insect Repellent Pump?

This medium strength formula is ideal for non-tropical, short haul destinations such as the Mediterranean. This highly effective insect repellent contains 20% DEET and repels mosquitoes and biting insects.

How to use this product

Jungle Formula Medium Insect Repellent Pump is easy to apply. Spray on all exposed skin, ensuring that it’s clean and dry before application. Hold the can around 15 cm away from the skin and spray using a slow, sweeping motion. Ensure that the product is applied evenly.

To apply to the face, spray the product into your palm first and use your hands to carefully apply to the face, ensuring you avoid the eyes and lips. Reapply Jungle Formula when required, as environmental factors like high temperatures and humidity can reduce the duration and effectiveness of insect repellents.

How does insect repellent work?

Our bodies naturally produce carbon dioxide which insects use to find us. But by using an insect repellant or bug spray, it will mask this scent of carbon dioxide so these blood-sucking, hunting insects can’t find you. In addition to covering your scent, many insect repellants also include a smell that’s repulsive to bugs which further discourages them from coming near you. 

How long is insect repellent effective?

It varies because insect repellants come in different strengths, but as a rule, the higher the strength, the longer you’ll be protected against being bitten. Usually, most insect repellants offer several hours of protection, but always check the advice stated on your container for how often you should reapply.

When should this product not be used? 

Do not use Jungle Formula Medium Insect Repellent Pump if you are allergic to DEET or any of the other listed ingredients. This product can cause eye irritation. If contact occurs, rinse carefully with water for several minutes and remove contact lenses if possible. Keep this product away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other sources of ignition and do not smoke when using this product.

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
