What are GeloRevoice Throat Lozenges?
GeloRevoice Throat Lozenges provide effective protection against irritation in your throat and mouth (also known as mucous membranes) and have a delicious cherry flavour. They provide a coating that shields your mouth and throat from irritants such as smoking and pollen. GeloRevoice also stimulates saliva production to keep your mouth and throat hydrated, protecting against throat dryness, hoarseness and tickly sensations.
What can cause throat irritation?
Throat irritation can be caused by a range of factors from our environment, lifestyle and health conditions. A few common causes include:
- Voice overuse – Through singing, shouting or talking e.g. if you work as a singer, actor or teacher and have to use your voice excessively as part of your job
- Impaired breathing – Due to congestion or cold symptoms
- Dry air – Caused by heating or air-conditioning systems
- Pollen allergy – Also known as Hay Fever
- Smoking
All of these factors can result in hoarseness, throat irritation, loss of voice, tickly throat and dry mucous membranes which can lead to a sore throat.
How do GeloRevoice Lozenges work?
When the lozenges dissolve GeloRevoice form a special hydrogel complex that contains hyaluronic acid, which sticks to the inside of your throat and mouth and provides a protective film over the irritated areas. The special composition of minerals and slight effervescent effect of the lozenges cause an intense stimulation of saliva flow which keeps your mouth and throat moist, preventing dry, tickly sensations, as well as distributing the hydrogel complex around the mouth and throat, keeping it protected. This gives the irritated areas a chance to regenerate which can alleviate symptoms of throat irritation.
How to use GeloRevoice
Take one lozenge, as needed (e.g. every 2-3 hours) every day. Allow the lozenge to slowly dissolve until completely disintegrated in order to ensure the hydrogel complex completely develops and disperses over the throat and mouth. Do NOT chew the lozenges or swallow them whole. It is recommended to take these lozenges after consuming food.
This product can be used over prolonged periods or for intermittent therapy, but if your symptoms persist within three days, consult your doctor.
When should this product NOT be used?
Do NOT use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients (see ingredients tab for full list). Do NOT consume this product with other medications in the mouth and throat region. Do NOT take this product whilst lying down due to the risk of choking. This product is NOT suitable for children below 6 years of age. Seek advice from a doctor or a Chemist 4U pharmacist BEFORE using this product if you have a metabolic disorder or are on a low-salt diet as this product contains aspartame and sodium and therefore may not be suitable.
Side Effects
Like all medicines, GeloRevoice can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them. If used excessively, GeloRevoice can have a laxative effect and/or cause gastrointestinal complaints. If you experience any symptoms of an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice.
