What is E45 Rich 24 Hour Hand Cream?
E45 Rich 24 hour Hand Cream provides deep moisturisation throughout the day. It is formulated with nourishing Evening Primrose Oil, which helps to lock and retain moisture within the skin. This hand cream is dermatologically tested to be suitable for dry and sensitive skin and has no added colours or fragrances. E45 provides everything to make dry skin feel good, so this rich hand cream will ensure your hands feel soft and supple all day.
What causes dry skin on your hands?
Dry skin can appear when our hands cannot maintain moisture, resulting in roughness and dehydration. In extreme conditions, this can lead to skin cracking which can result in pain, bleeding or infection. Our hands are quite resilient against the elements, but excessive exposure to harsh weather or irritants in our environments. There are several factors that can cause dry skin on the hands including:
Dry air
Without a sufficient amount of humidity in the air, our skin can become dehydrated. When temperatures drop in winter so does the humidity level. Indoor heating can also remove moisture from the air.
Dehydration
Not keeping ourselves hydrated throughout the day can cause our blood volume can decrease, which can cause dry skin on hands. Drinking enough water every day ensures our body is hydrated and our skin stays soft and supple from the inside.
Excessive Hand Washing

Using lukewarm water and a cream-based hand wash that is soap-free to reduce the drying effects. Use hand cream liberally after washing hands to keep them hydrated.
Medications
Some medications, such as topical treatments for acne, can contain chemical exfoliants like, retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. These chemicals can severely dry out our skin, including our hands.

Evening Primrose Oil is used in skincare and cosmetics to enhance lipid (our skin’s natural fats) content and increase hydration in our skin. Evening Primrose Oil can increase water retention and an improvement in the skin’s moisture levels. This hydration improves the skin barrier function which can have a soothing effect for dry, uncomfortable skin.
How to use this product
Apply as required, daily. Ensure to apply after washing to replenish moisture.

Side Effects
