Asthma
Asthma is a common long-term condition that causes symptoms like coughing, wheezing, chest tightness and breathlessness. It’s caused by inflammation in the small tubes known as bronchi which can be found in the lungs, making them more sensitive than normal.
Although asthma can be controlled most of the time, it’s possible for some people to experience more persistent symptoms. When asthma becomes worse suddenly, it’s known as an asthma attack.
