Dental Problems & Tooth Decay

Dental problems, such as tooth decay, can lead to unpleasant symptoms such as abscesses and tooth loss which can be unsightly and cause significant discomfort. Tooth decay is a common dental issue which occurs when you don’t maintain a healthy dental hygiene routine.

If plaque isn’t removed from your teeth it can interact with sugars from our food to form an acidic film which compromises the teeth’s enamel coating. It is important to look after your teeth and seek advice for dental issues as soon as possible to prevent them from becoming worse and leading to problems such as receding gums and tooth loss.

Remember, your final treatment will be decided by our prescribers based on your answers provided within your consultation. You will be asked to indicate a preferred treatment option from a selected list after completion of your consult.

How do dental & tooth decay treatments work?

If you are at risk of severe tooth decay, our prescribers can recommend high fluoride toothpaste, such as Duraphat Toothpaste, which is produced by Colgate.

Fluoride is included in most toothpaste as it helps to prevent the spread of tooth decay and rebuild tooth enamel, so higher doses of fluoride are a regular treatment option for those who are at risk of multiple cavities or other damage.

When you brush your teeth with high fluoride toothpaste, you clear away the harmful plaque bacteria that cause dental caries or cavities, as well as supporting your teeth as they try to rebuild that essential enamel.

Fill out our quick questionnaire which will help our Prescriber to identify the best treatment for you. We will then discreetly send your medication directly to your door.
