What is Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief Gel?
Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief Gel provides relief from pain and swelling in your muscles, back and neck. Compared with regular pain killers, Voltarol is applied topically (directly on the skin) to target pain at the source and contains an active ingredient which works to ease pain to get you moving again. The gel can also be used to treat pain in joints, sprains, strains and bruises, as well as minor sports injuries to tendons and ligaments. If you’re looking for an easy-to-apply topical pain killer that provides localised relief, try Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief Gel.
What pain can Voltarol gel treat?
Voltarol can be used to treat a variety of aches and pains including:
- Pains in your neck and shoulder muscles
- Joint injuries
- Minor sports injuries
- Tendonitis, such as tennis elbow
There are a variety of reasons why you may experience pain in your back or muscles. For example, spending lots of time sitting in the office or poor posture can cause aches in your back, neck and shoulders. You may also be experiencing pain due to strain caused by exercise or sport. As you get older, you may experience frequent pain in your back or joints which is completely natural. Whether it’s general aches and pains or a sport injury, keeping Voltarol in your medicine cabinet can help keep you moving without pain holding you back.
How can Voltarol help soothe aching muscles?
Many topical pain relief products tend to work by causing cooling or warming sensations in the skin. Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief Gel is different as it contains the active ingredient Diclofenac which is part of a family of medicines known as Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS). Medicines such as Ibuprofen also belong to this group of drugs, which work by reducing inflammation and providing relief from pain. Diclofenac works by targeting the pain at it’s source to provide local relief. The powerful formula which contains Emulgel technology is applied directly to the skin and penetrates deep beneath the skin’s surface to help the Diclofenac reach the source of pain efficiently. Voltarol relieves pain by blocking the production of some chemicals produced by the body which cause swelling, pain and tenderness. Voltarol has a pleasant smell and won’t stain your clothing. The formula isn’t greasy or sticky and is easy to rub into the skin.
