What is the Scholl Corn Complete Removal Pen?

The Scholl Corn Complete Removal Pen can help to treat corns and severe calluses for smooth beautiful feet. Visible results can be seen within the first week of treatment and the product is easy to use. It contains a highly concentrated removal gel which encourages the skin to peel, which reduces the build-up that causes corns and calluses. The pen can be used to treat corns multiple times without the need to scrape or file the corn. What are corns?

Corns and calluses are areas of skin that have become thick or hard. They can cause pain and discomfort when pressure is placed upon the foot, but they’re not often serious. Corns and calluses are most commonly found on the feet, toes and hands. Corns and calluses are commonly caused by pressure or rubbing of the skin on the hands or feet. This can occur when:

  • Wearing high heels, uncomfortable shoes or shoes that don’t fit properly
  • Wearing shoes without socks 
  • Lifting heavy weights 
  • Playing a musical instrument

 

How can you avoid developing corns and callouses

There are many steps you can take treat and avoid corns and callouses including:

  • Not going barefoot 
  • Avoiding trying to cut off the corn or callus
  • Don’t walk long distances or stand for long periods 
  • Wear socks that are thick and cushion
  • Avoid shoes that have high heels or are tight and pointy
  • Regularly use a pumice stone or foot file to remove hard skin
  • Keep your skin moisturised 

 

How can the Scholl Corn Removal Pen help to treat corns?

The Scholl Pen contains a highly concentrated removal gel that helps to remove the corn without the need for scraping or filing. You can start to see visible results in as little as the first week of treatment. The gel works by causing the skin to peel which reduces the thickened skin and helps healthy skin to form. This product is suitable for adults and children from 16 years old. The pen can be used to treat multiple calluses and corns on the skin.  

 

How to use this product

Use this product exactly as described in the patient information leaflet.

 

  1. Hold the pen vertically with the tip of the brush facing down
  2. Slowly turn the dial on top of the pen to release the gel
  3. Allow the gel to disperse into the brush for a few seconds
  4. Apply the gel to the corn or callus using he brush - do NOT touch the healthy surrounding skin
  5. Allow the gel to dry for 10 - 15 minutes before wearing socks or shoes
  6. Wipe the brush tip before replacing the cap 
  7. Repeat the process once a day for 4 days. 

 

Warnings

This pen contains a corrosive acid that should only be applied to the affected skin. Do not apply this product to skin that is healthy, as this can cause some degree of burning to occur. 

 

When NOT to use the Scholl Corn Pen

Do NOT use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients (see ingredients tab for full list). This product should not be used on irritated, infected, reddened or inflamed skin. If you experience irritation, redness or pain, clean the area with lots of soap and water and seek advice from your doctor or a Chemist4U pharmacist.
