How Rennie Deflatine Sugar Free Mint Tablets work
Rennie Deflatine Sugar Free Mint tablets are formulated with a highly effective anti-foaming agent that causes trapped air bubbles to combine and disperse, helping to eliminate your symptoms discreetly.
It also contains antacids which provide effective relief from heartburn, indigestion and acid reflux.
Directions
Always take Rennie Deflatine Sugar Free Mint Tablets exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you.
Suck or chew 1-2 tablets. Do not take more than 11 tablets a day.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Rennie Deflatine Sugar Free Mint Tablets may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Side effects are unlikely when taking the recommended dose.
If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
Warnings
Rennie Deflatine Sugar Free Mint Tablets may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you have any of the following:
- Severe kidney disease
- High calcium in your urine or kidney stones
- High calcium or low phosphate in the blood
Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have an intolerance to some sugars or if you have been diagnosed with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI).
Speak to your doctor if you have mild or moderate kidney problems.
If you need to take this medication for more than 14 days, talk to your doctor to rule out any other conditions.
Using/taking other medicines
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any medications, including ones obtained without a prescription.
Rennie Deflatine Sugar Free Mint Tablets can affect how the following medication works:
- Tetracyclines and quinolones (antibiotics)
- Bisphosphonates (used for the treatment of osteoporosis)
- Dolutegravir (an anti-retroviral medicine used for the treatment of HIV infection)
- Levothyroxine (a thyroid hormone)
- Eltrombopag (used to increase the number of platelets)
- Digoxin (used for some heart conditions)
- Thiazide diuretics (water tablets to treat fluid retention and high blood pressure)
- Fluorides (for preventing dental cavities)
- Phosphates (for clearing the bowel before a surgical procedure)
- Iron supplements
Age restrictions
This medication is not recommended for children under 12.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Rennie Deflatine Sugar Free Mint Tablets can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before taking any new medicine.
Food and drink
Avoid taking this medicine with large amounts of dairy products.
Storage information
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
