What is Poxclin Coolmousse?

Poxclin Coolmousse is a light, soothing treatment which helps to ease the itching and irritation caused by chickenpox in children. It cools and soothes the skin, preventing itching and irritation. It can also help to prevent scarring and blocks bacteria from causing infections, perfect for those who are worried about the long term affects that chickenpox can have on their children.

What is chickenpox?

Chickenpox is a common virus which usually affects children. You can get chickenpox at any age, but it can be more severe in adults. When your child has chickenpox, you’ll notice red spots which will then fill with fluid and then scab over. Chickenpox will usually clear up within a week, and it’s unusual for people to experience chickenpox more than once. Some of the other symptoms of chickenpox include:

  • Itching
  • High temperature
  • Feeling achy, pained, or generally unwell
  • Loss of appetite

How will Poxclin Coolmousse help to ease symptoms of chickenpox?

Poxclin Coolmousse contains the active ingredient 2QR, which works as a Bio-Active Bacterial Blocker. This means that it helps to ease chicken pox by blocking harmful bacteria which can irritate your condition, helping your skin’s natural barrier to protect itself, easing itching and helping to recondition the skin in the process.

Can I use this product if my child is using other medication?

If your child is using any other medication, including those you got without a prescription, you should speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before giving them this product too. Some medications may not work together, making your medication less effective or causing unwanted effects, but a medical professional can help you to avoid this.

Can adults use Poxclin?

Poxclin is safe for adults to use, however, adults with chickenpox should always speak to their doctor before applying any treatment. Chickenpox is usually more severe in adults than it is in children, so you may need to treat your symptoms differently. This especially applies to adults who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as you should always speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using any new treatment at this time.

How to use this product

Apply Poxclin Coolmousse to the affected area of skin gently. You don’t need to rub this mousse in, as it’s a light enough formula to be absorbed easily into the skin.  Apply 3 times a day or whenever you need relief from itching or other symptoms.

Do not use Poxclin Coolmousse if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. If you experience any discomfort, irritation, or other side effects while using this product, stop use right away. If irritation is severe or persists, speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist immediately.
