What is Nivea Sun Lotion?
Nivea Sun Lotion is sun protection that moisturises your skin as it helps to prevent sun damage. It offers long lasting protection against both UVA and UVB rays while keeping your skin hydrated. This water-resistant formula is perfect for using at the beach or the pool, or even just for everyday sun protection.
How can the sun damage my skin?
When you spend time in the sun without wearing sunscreen or protective clothing, harmful UV rays can damage your skin. UVB rays can cause sunburn, which makes your skin sore and red, and can cause peeling. Both UVA and UVB rays can cause other damage to your skin though, and this damage can lead to skin cancer in some cases.
How will Nivea Sun Lotion protect my skin from the sun?
Nivea Sun Lotion protects from both UVA and UVB rays, providing a barrier over your skin that protects from sun exposure. It’s water resistant, so if you’re in the pool or at the beach, your skin will still be protected from UV rays. Nivea Sun Lotion comes in different SPF strengths, with the higher numbers offering more protection. This means that you can choose a stronger or weaker formula to give the most effective protection for your skin type and how sunny the weather is wherever you are.
How to use this sun screen
Apply Nivea Sun Lotion generously before going out into the sun, making sure that there’s a visible layer of lotion before you rub it in. Let the first layer dry and then reapply to make sure that you haven’t missed any areas and to make sure your protection is the best it can be. Reapply as needed, especially after swimming, towelling dry, or if you’ve been sweating.
Are there other ways I can protect my skin from sun damage?
As well as using Nivea Sun Lotion, you can help to protect your skin from sun damage by trying to cover up with hats, sunglasses, t-shirts, and other suitable clothing. This is especially important for children, who should be kept out of direct sunlight to protect their delicate skin. Make sure that you stay in the shade between the hours of 11AM – 3PM, which is when the sun is at its strongest.
When should this product not be used?
Do not use Nivea Sun Lotion if you’re allergic to any of the listed ingredients. If you experience any irritation or discomfort while using this product, stop use right away. If irritation persists or is severe, speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist immediately.
How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place. Do not use this product if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
