What is Hedrin Once Liquid Gel?

Hedrin Liquid Gel is a fast, effective treatment, that works to kill head lice and eggs fast. Unlike other forms of head lice treatment, this gel does not contain any pesticides. This means that lice cannot build an immunity to the gel over time. The gel works by smothering the lice, while also penetrating the eggs in order to kill them. Hedrin is easy to apply and leaves no unpleasant odour.

What causes head lice?

Head lice infestations are generally caused by coming into contact with someone who is affected. This is why children are more likely to get head lice, as they spend more time coming into close contact with others. There are other potential reasons why an infestation could occur, which include:

  • Hats
  • Combs
  • Brushes
  • Headphones
  • Scarves
  • Pillows
  • Upholstery
  • Towels

Dirty hair or poor hygiene are not causes for head lice.

Who is Hedrin Gel suitable for?

This gel is suitable to be used by adults and children aged 6 months and over who need a fast treatment for head lice. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to any of the ingredients that are contained in the gel.

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this gel?

There is no evidence of any problems when using this gel when pregnant or breastfeeding. However, anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a medical professional before using any form of treatment.

How should Hedrin Once Liquid Gel be used?

If one person in the family has lice, then it is recommended that all others are checked for lice before using. Before using the gel, place a towel over the shoulders. Apply the gel to dry hair, ensuring that all parts are covered. Work into the hair by using the hands or a comb. Leave the solution on the hair for at least an hour. Afterwards, wash the hair using a non-conditioning shampoo. Ideally, apply it to the hair without wetting it. Rinse it offer with water and then dry. Apply the gel again after 7 days.

Are there any side effects?

Any side effect of using this gel is most likely to be caused by an allergic reaction. If you notice any side effect, then you should stop using the gel and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible.
