Buy Finasteride Online

Finasteride is a medication which can help men with mild to moderate male pattern hair loss to grow and keep their hair. It’s ideal for men who have noticed that their hairline is receding or their hair is thinning on top, and are looking for a way to keep their hair and keep it from thinning.

How Finasteride works

Finasteride is one of a group of medications called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors, and it works by blocking a hormone called DHT which occurs in your scalp. This hormone can reduce the growth cycle of your hair, causing thinning and hair loss, so using Finasteride can help your hair to keep growing and can help you to keep the hair you have.

Directions

You should only take this medication as recommended by your doctor. The usual dose you’ll be given is one finasteride tablet every day. You can take this medication with or without food. Do not crush or break the tablets before swallowing.

Warnings

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Women or those who were assigned female at birth should not take finasteride; this product is only to be used to treat hereditary hair loss in men. If you are pregnant, it is important that you take care to avoid contact with any finasteride tablets, especially if they’re broken or crushed. This medication can cause your child to be born with malformed genital organs if you come into contact with it during pregnancy.

Fertility in men

Infertility has been reported in some men who have taken finasteride for a prolonged period of time and had other risk factors affecting their fertility levels. These risk factors can include smoking, taking recreational drugs, and obesity, as well as medical issues like previous trauma to the testicles and certain chronic illnesses.

Food warnings

Finasteride tablets contain lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars you should let your prescriber know about this during your consultation.

Other medications

If you’re taking any other medication, including those you’ve obtained without a prescription, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. You should not take this product if you are already taking finasteride or any other 5α-reductase inhibitors for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or any other condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can women take finasteride?

Finasteride tablets are not suitable for women or those who were assigned female at birth.

Coming into contact with finasteride can be especially problematic for pregnant women, as it can cause your baby to be born with abnormalities in its sex organs.

How long does Finasteride take to work?

Finasteride usually takes around 3 – 6 months of daily use before you’ll notice a difference in your hair thickness or a reduction in hair loss.

Will I lose my hair again if I stop taking finasteride?

Do not stop taking finasteride unless you are advised to do so by your doctor, stopping this treatment too early can result in you losing the hair you’ve gained within the past 9 – 12 months.

If you want to stop taking this medication, speak to your doctor so you can work out a plan of action together.

Is finasteride the same as Propecia?

Finasteride is the active ingredient in the brand-name hair loss treatment Propecia.

This means that Propecia and generic finasteride tablets work in the same way and can be just as effective as one another.

With that being said, there are some minor differences between the two treatments, one of the most obvious being the price of your medication.

Generic products are generally cheaper than branded ones, so finasteride tablets may be a cheaper option for you than Propecia.

What is male pattern hair loss?

Male pattern hair loss, also known as male pattern baldness, is a common reason why men lose their hair, and it usually isn’t anything to worry about.

This type of hair loss is usually hereditary, which means it runs in your family, and will usually start gradually, as you’ll notice your hairline receding or your hair growing thinner on top.

Male pattern hair loss is a normal part of getting older and it doesn’t need treatment, but many men decide to use medications that can help them to keep their hair as they grow older.

Do I need a prescription for this medication?

You do need a prescription for this medication in the UK.
