What is Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient?
Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient contains a unique, dual-action, steroid-free formula with a supplementary anti-inflammatory. With regular use, it can help to prevent flare ups and reduce soreness and redness caused by dry skin conditions such as mild to moderate eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient is free from colourings, fragrances, steroids, SLS, parabens and MI preservatives.
How to use this product
Always use Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient is suitable for everyday use. It will work best if you frequently apply it.
To use, gently smooth over and around all dry and/or inflamed areas three times daily or as often as required. Simply smooth onto the skin in the direction of hair growth to avoid blocking hair follicles. Don’t rub it into your skin vigorously as this can irritate dry skin conditions and the gel will not absorb as effectively.
What is dry skin?
Certain people have naturally dry skin, where the skin doesn’t retain enough moisture. Others can develop dry skin during colder weather or due to a condition like eczema or psoriasis. If you have dry skin you may experience tightness, especially after showering, bathing or swimming. Additionally, your skin can change in texture or appearance like being rough, red and cracking, and it may flake or peel. Dry skin can be extra sensitive, too.
Who should use Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient?
Some dry skin conditions, such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis, go through periods of extra redness and inflammation, known as ‘flares’. These flares result in aggravated, sensitive and sore skin and sometimes, a plain emollient may not be enough.
This is where Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient can help. By adding an anti-inflammatory ingredient to a highly effective, long-lasting emollient, it delivers additional relief to dry skin and can help prevent flares.
What makes Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient different?
Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient contains a clinically effective formula that has been specially designed to lock in moisture and help repair the skin’s protective barrier. It also contains nicotinamide, a vitamin B derivative with proven anti-inflammatory properties to help reduce redness and inflammation in skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis, without the need for steroids.
Is Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient suitable for children?
Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient is suitable for children aged 1 years and over. If you’re looking for an emollient for a child under the age of 1, you should speak to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice on alternative treatment options.
Is Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before using any new product.
When should this product not be used?
Doublebase Diomed Flare Relief Emollient may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
