What are Cura-Heat Heat Packs?

Cura-Heat Heat Packs are refills for your Cura-Heat arthritis knee or wrist wrap. These heat packs warm up when they come into contact with the air, staying warm for up to 8 hours and helping to relieve pain caused by arthritis. Ideal for those suffering with arthritic pain and looking for a way to ease their sore muscles without having to resort to medicines.

What is arthritis?

Arthritis is a common ailment that many people deal with over the course of their life, with around 8 million people suffering with osteoarthritis in the UK alone. Osteoarthritis normally develops as you get older, causing joint pain and inflammation. Some of the most common places where people experience arthritis include:

  • Knees
  • Hands
  • Spine
  • Hips

How will these heat pack refills work to relieve my arthritic pain?

Cura-Heat Heat Packs warm up naturally when they come into contact with oxygen in the air, staying warm for up to 8 hours. When used with your knee or wrist wraps, these heat packs can provide heat therapy directly to the area affected by arthritis, helping to ease stiffness, relax sore muscles, and relieve pain all in one.

How to use Cura-Heat Heat Packs

First, apply your Cura-Heat knee wrap or wrist wrap, following the instructions included with these products to ensure they are applied properly. Open the Cura-Heat sachet by hand and remove one heat pack. Insert heat packs into each pocket on your knee or wrist wrap, always use Cura-Heat Heat Packs in wrap pockets and never directly against skin. Cura-Heat Heat Packs will warm up in around 30 minutes after they come into contact with air, so do not open sachet before you are ready to use your heat pack.

When should Cura-Heat Heat Packs not be used?

Cura-Heat Heat Packs should not be applied directly to the skin, heat packs can cause burns even at low temperatures. If your heat pack becomes uncomfortably hot, remove immediately. Allow air to circulate over the pack and do not apply pressure, e.g. by wearing tight clothes, tights, or stockings over the wrap. Follow instructions carefully and monitor pack during use.

If you’ve ever looked into your medicine cabinet and asked yourself one of these questions then you’ve come to the right place.
