What is arthritis?

Arthritis is a common condition that many people deal with over the course of their lives, osteoarthritis affects up to 8 million people in the UK alone. Arthritis normally develops as you grow older, affecting joints all over the body and causing stiffness, inflammation and pain. Some of the most common places where you may experience arthritis include:

  • Knees
  • Hands
  • Spine
  • Hips

How will this product relieve arthritic pain in my knees?

The Cura-Heat for Knees wrap relieves pain by warming the knee, delivering heat therapy that increases blood flow to the knee. This helps to reduce pain, decrease stiffness and relax your sore muscles, providing up to 8 hours of pain relief. Cura-Heat heat packs are activated when they come into contact with air, heating up gradually without needing to be heated in a microwave or oven.

How to use Cura-Heat for Knees

Place the knee wrap over the knee area, making sure that the elasticated rim is above your knee and the Cura-Heat logo is facing the front. Open the heat pack sachet by hand and remove the heat pack, insert one heat pack into each pocket of your Cura-Heat knee wrap. Always insert heat packs into the wrap pockets and do not apply directly to skin. The heat packs will warm up gradually within around 30 minutes. Heat packs are air activated, so do not open the sachet before you are ready to use your Cura-Heat for Knees wrap.

When should Cura-Heat for Knees not be used?

Never apply Cura-Heat heat packs directly to the skin, heat packs can cause burns even at low temperature. If pack becomes uncomfortably hot, stop use immediately. Allow air to circulate over your heat pack and do not apply pressure to the pack, for example by wearing tight clothes, tights, or stockings over your Cura-Heat wrap.

Advice & Guides

Can I take two painkillers at once?

Sometimes when you take painkillers you find that although they make your headache, backache, or whatever your aches and pains you’re trying to treat a bit better, they don’t quite do the job.

This is when you might consider picking up another painkiller to try to kick that pain to the curb. But how do you know if this is safe? Can you take more than one painkiller at once?

If you’ve ever looked into your medicine cabinet and asked yourself one of these questions then you’ve come to the right place.
