What are Carnation Corn Shields?

Carnation Corn Shields are a protective bandage which help to provide relief from pain and irritation caused by corns. The soft gel lining relieves pressure on the corn by forming a protective shield that absorbs shock and friction all around the toe.

What are corns?

Corns are hard, thick patches of skin which develop when an area of your foot goes through a lot of friction or pressure, for example, when the side of your foot rubs on your shoe. Although they’re normally found on your feet, you can get corns anywhere that deals with consistent friction or pressure.

How do Carnation Corn Shields help to protect corns?

Carnation Corn Shields work to protect corns by relieving the pressure and friction that causes corns in the first place. The soft gel lining cushions the corn and provides a protective layer between your corn and the side of your shoe, absorbing shock and reducing pressure. Carnation Corn Shields also contain mineral oils which soften and moisturise the skin, helping to remove corns and stopping them coming back.

How to use Carnation Corn Shields.

Making sure the skin surrounding your corn is clear and dry, apply the corn shield firmly to the affected area. Ensure that the soft gel lining is pressed against the corn and not on the outside. If you are using your Carnation Corn Shield on your big toe, you may find that you need to stretch the shield widthways before you apply it. Remember to remove your Carnation Corn Shield before you go to bed.

When should Carnation Corn Shields not be used?

Do not apply Carnation Corn Shields to open wounds. If you are diabetic or hypertensive, speak to your doctor before using Carnation Corn Shields. If you experience pain, irritation, or discomfort in the affected area while using Carnation Corn Shields, remove immediately. Do not use Carnation Corn Shields if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed.
