What are Carnation Corn Shields?

Carnation Corn Shields are protective bandages which help to provide relief from pain and discomfort caused by corns. The soft gel lining provides protection from friction and shock.

What are corns?

Corns hard, thick patches of skin which develop when the skin is exposed to excessive friction or pressure, for example when the side of your foot or tops of your toes rub against your shoes.

How do Carnation Corn Shields help to protect corns?

Carnation Corn Shields help to protect corns through the use of an advanced polymer gel which protects corns from pressure and friction. Elasticated fabric coupled with a slim design keeps the Carnation Corn Shield in place and they stretch to fit any size toe. The Carnation Corn Shields contain mineral oil to soften and moisturise the skin which can help to remove corns and prevent pressure. Carnation Corn Shields are washable and reusable.

How to use Carnation Corn Shields.

Make sure the skin surrounding the corn is clear and dry. Apply the corn shield around the affected area, ensuring the gel layer is next to the skin. If the Carnation Corn Shield is to be applied to the big toe, stretch width ways before applying. Remove Carnation Corn Shields overnight to allow the skin to breathe.

When should Carnation Corn Shields NOT be used?

If you are diabetic, always seek advice from a Chemist 4 U pharmacist or your GP before using any footcare product.
