FAQs
Is sildenafil the same as viagra?

Sildenafil is the active ingredient in viagra, which means that Perrigo tablets will work in the same way that viagra does.

As an added bonus, unbranded sildenafil tablets are usually cheaper than Viagra branded tablets, giving you a more wallet-friendly alternative.

What is the usual dose of sildenafil 50mg?

You should usually take one 50mg sildenafil tablet about an hour before you plan on having sex.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

If your doctor or pharmacist recommends a different dose for you, make sure to follow their instructions carefully.

How does sildenafil treat erectile dysfunction?

Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, Eropid and Aronix, is one of the most popular and effective treatments for erectile dysfunction.

It’s a type of medicine known as a PDE5 inhibitor, which works by blocking an enzyme that regulates blood flow into the penis.

When you’re sexually stimulated, sildenafil will increase this blood flow into the penis and heighten the natural process of arousal.

Can I buy sildenafil over the counter?

You can buy sildenafil over the counter from registered pharmacists.

You’ll need to answer a few medical questions first so the pharmacist can be sure that sildenafil is right for you, but once the pharmacy team has reviewed your answers you can buy your tablets.

Can I buy sildenafil online?

You can buy sildenafil online from pharmacies like ours.

You’ll still need to follow all of the procedures you would when buying sildenafil in a high street pharmacy, but you can do everything from the privacy of your own home.

#Perfect for those who find talking about erectile dysfunction in a pharmacy a little embarrassing.

Is Sildenafil safe?

Sildenafil is perfectly safe if you take it as recommended by the manufacturers.

The manufacturers of Aronix recommend that you should take one 50mg tablet around an hour before having sex and that you should only take one tablet a day.

If you’re ever concerned about whether Aronix is right for you, or if any of your medication is safe, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist and ask their advice.

Will sildenafil give me an erection if I don’t want one?

It’s natural to worry about getting an erection at an inappropriate time after taking sildenafil, but you’ll be happy to learn that this medication simply doesn’t work like that.

Sildenafil tablets only help you to get an erection if you’re sexually stimulated or aroused.

No arousal means no erection, so if you’re suddenly called away from some fun with your partner you won’t have to worry about an unwanted erection popping up and causing you some embarrassment.

Are there any natural remedies for erectile dysfunction?

There aren’t any reliable home remedies for erectile dysfunction, but your doctor may ask you to make some lifestyle changes as part of your treatment.

Some of the most common lifestyle changes your doctor will recommend to help with your ED include:

  • Losing weight if you need to
  • Quit smoking
  • Drink less than 14 units of alcohol a week
  • Exercise regularly
  • Eat healthily

Is Sildenafil suitable for women?

Sildenafil is not suitable for women, as it’s designed to treat erectile dysfunction.

If you’re a woman and you’re concerned about your partner’s erectile dysfunction or have any questions about any other sexual problems, ask a medical professional for advice.

Your doctor, pharmacist, or local sexual health clinic will be happy to answer any questions and provide any treatments you may need.

Why can’t I drink grapefruit juice when I’m taking Sildenafil?

You should not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while taking Sildenafil, as they can affect your medication.

This is because they contain a kind of chemical called furanocoumarins.

This chemical reacts with an enzyme in the lining of your gut and liver which breaks down lots of different kinds of medications, making it less effective.

This means that if you eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice when taking a medication that needs this enzyme to break down, the enzyme won’t be able to do its job properly.

This can lead to too much of the medication you’re taking ending up in your bloodstream, giving you a much higher dosage than you needed to take and possibly causing side effects.
