What is Perrigo Sildenafil 50mg?

Perrigo Sildenafil is a medicine that can help to treat erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction can interrupt your love life and can be a source of embarrassment, but Sildenafil can offer a quick and easy solution to a common problem that many men face during their lifetime. If you experience erectile dysfunction regularly, Perrigo Sildenafil may be the solution for you.

What is erectile dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction (also known as impotence) is a very common problem, especially in men over the age of 40. It has been estimated that 50% of men aged between 40 and 70 will experience erectile dysfunction in some capacity. Impotence occurs when you have trouble achieving or maintaining an erection. Erectile dysfunction can sometimes only occur in certain situations, for example, you may experience it when you are with your sexual partner but are able to maintain an erection during masturbation. Seek advice from your GP if you are experiencing erectile dysfunction regularly.

What is an erection?

An erection occurs when a man becomes sexually aroused. The brain sends signals to the nerves in the penis which increases blood flow, resulting in the tissue in the penis to expand. Anything that can interfere with the nervous system or sexual desire (also known as libido) can cause erectile dysfunction and prevent you from gaining or maintaining an erection.

What causes erectile dysfunction?

There are a variety of factors, both physical and psychological, that can cause erectile dysfunction including:

  • Narrowing of blood vessels in the penis

  • Hormone problems

  • Side effects of prescribed medication

  • Surgery or injury

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Relationship issues

  • Worry

  • Stress

  • Tiredness

  • Excessive alcohol consumption

If you are able to gain and maintain an erection in some circumstances and not in others, the cause may be psychological. If you cannot achieve or maintain an erection in any circumstance, the underlying cause may be physical. Although it can be embarrassing, it is important to get a diagnosis from a doctor, as it could be a sign of an underlying health problem.

How can Sildenafil tablets help you to achieve an erection?

Sildenafil is a medication that can be used to treat erectile dysfunction. It belongs to a group of medicines known as phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. Sildenafil works by helping to relax the blood vessels in the penis when you become sexually aroused. The medicine usually takes around 30 to 60 minutes to work and you can take it up to 4 hours before taking part in sexual intercourse. Taking Sildenafil alone will not cause an erection. You will need to be sexually aroused or stimulated, in order for the medication to work and for an erection to occur.

How to use Perrigo Sildenafil

Always take this medicine exactly as described by a doctor or a Chemist4U pharmacist and ALWAYS read the label before taking any medication. You should take Sildenafil about an hour before you plan to have sex.
