What is Zerocream?

Zerocream is designed to treat dry skin and help your skin become hydrated, comfortable and smooth again. The active ingredients are liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin.

How does Zerocream work?

Zerocream is what is called an emollient. An emollient helps to restore moisture in the skin that has been lost due to a condition such as eczema or psoriasis. Zerocream works by getting deep into the skin and helping it retain moisture, reducing the effects of dry skin. 

What causes dry skin?

Dry skin can be caused by a number of different conditions. Conditions that can cause dry skin include:

  • Heat from central heating, wood stoves, fireplaces
  • Some soaps and detergents
  • Hot baths and showers
  • Weather, in particular, dry, cold, weather and low humidity
  • Skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis
You are more at risk of getting dry skin when you are over 40, and the risk increases with age. 

Who is this cream suitable for?

Zerocream is suitable to be used by adults and children as required. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the cream. Anyone who is suffering from eczema, psoriasis or dry skin can use Zerocream to relieve the effects. It should not be used by anyone who has bleeding, broken, cracked, or infected skin. Do not use on any open wounds. 

Is Zerocream suitable for someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?

Yes, it is suitable to be used by someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

How often should I be using this cream?

You should be using the cream as and when it is required to treat dry and irritated skin.

Are there any side effects?

Any side effect will be as a result of an allergic reaction. If you notice any side effect, contact your doctor as soon as possible. You can also report any side effect that you may discover using the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.

Do I need a prescription to buy?

Apply the cream to the skin. Adults, the elderly and children: apply to the affected areas of skin two or three times daily, and smooth gently into the skin, following the direction of the hair growth.

  • Liquid paraffin

  • White soft paraffin

  • Lanolin Anhydrous

  • Glyceryl Monostearate

  • Cetyl Alcohol

  • Sodium Cetostearyl Sulphate

  • Citric Acid (Monohydrate)

  • Carbomer (Carbopol 974P)

  • Purified Water

  • Sodium Hydroxide (10% w/v Solution)

  • 2-Phenoxyethanol containing NIPA Esters (Phenonip); Phenonip is comprised of Methyl Hydroxybenzoate (E218), Ethyl Hydroxybenzoate (E214), Propyl Hydroxybenzoate (E216), Butyl and Isobutyl Hydroxybenzoate
