What are True Plus Lancets?

True Plus Lancets are 30 gauge lancets which can be used to draw a blood sample for blood sugar testing. These lancets can be used with most lancing devices to obtain a capillary whole blood sample, helping to monitor blood sugar in those with diabetes.

What is diabetes?

Diabetes is a lifelong condition which means that your body does not create or does not sustain a hormone called insulin. Insulin is responsible for helping your body to break down glucose, creating energy, so if you don’t have enough, or your insulin doesn’t work, then your blood sugar levels can become very high. Many people who have diabetes monitor their own blood sugar levels at home as a part of managing this condition.

How will these lancets help me when I’m monitoring my blood sugar?

True Plus lancets can be used in a lancing device to draw a drop of blood from your fingertip for blood glucose testing. This can then be used in combination with a blood glucose meter to tell you how much sugar is in your blood, helping you and your doctor to monitor your blood sugar levels and formulate a plan to manage your diabetes effectively.

Which lancing devices can I use these lancets with?

True Plus lancets can be used with most lancing devices. They can also be used with all blood glucose meters in the True range, including:

  • True Result
  • True Result Twist
  • True You

What gauge are these lancets?

These True Plus lancets are 30 gauge. When you buy lancets, you may notice that they come in different gauge sizes. This tells you how thick the needle in your lancet is, so you can choose a lancet which is right for your skin. The most common sizes of lancet are 28 gauge, 30 gauge, and 33 gauge. The size of the needle gets smaller as the gauge gets higher, so a 28 gauge lancet will have a thicker needle and a 33 gauge lancet will have a thinner needle.

How to store this product
