What is Tena Lady Maxi?
Tena Lady Maxi pads are sanitary pads designed to help women to manage bladder weakness, or urinary incontinence. They’re soft and comfortable, using dermatologically tested materials to help you to feel comfortable all day or all night long. These pads are shaped to fit a woman’s body and use a strong adhesive panel which helps to keep it in place for as long as you need it, protecting you from leaks and wetness.
What is bladder weakness?
Bladder weakness is a common condition where you pass urine without meaning to. You may also know this condition as urinary incontinence. It happens to many people, and has lots of different causes, such as childbirth, age, or family history. There are different types of bladder weakness, with some of the most common including:
- Stress incontinence – Which happens when your bladder is put under pressure, such as during exercise or when you laugh, sneeze, or cough
- Urge incontinence – Which happens when you feel a sudden, strong urge to pee, followed by passing urine
- Overflow incontinence – Which happens when you are unable to empty your bladder fully, causing it to overflow or leak
- Total incontinence – Which happens when your bladder is unable to hold any urine, causing leaks which may be frequent or even constant

They have a Tena absorbency rating of 5.5 out of 8, making them ideal for those who find that they need more protection and are looking for a product that will keep them feeling fresh, dry, and comfortable.
How to use these sanitary pads
Each Tena Lady Maxi pad comes individually wrapped, so begin by removing the product from its wrapping and remove the backing paper from the sticky side of the pad. Keeping the sticky side facing down, press the pad into the inside of your underwear, ensuring that the areas where you need protection are covered. When it’s time to replace your pad, remove it from your underwear and throw the used pad away into a sanitary bin or with your regular household waste. Do not attempt to flush this product down the toilet, as this can cause blockage.
