Spedra tablets are an erectile dysfunction treatment that uses an active ingredient called avanafil to help you get and maintain an erection. If you, like many men, are struggling to get hard when you have sex, Spedra can help you regain your confidence in the bedroom. Just take one tablet before you’re going to have sex and see the effects within 15-30 minutes.
How Spedra works
Spedra contains an active ingredient called avanafil, which is a type of medication called PDE5 inhibitors. These medications treat erectile dysfunction by helping the blood vessels in your penis to relax, letting blood flow to the area more easily. Increased blood flow is an essential part of getting an erection, so by relaxing your blood vessels, Spedra can help you to get and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated.
Directions
Take one Spedra tablet 15 - 30 minutes before you plan to have sex. Leave an interval of at least 2 days between each dose.

Food & Drink
Spedra can be taken with food or on an empty stomach, but it is important to note that taking it with food can mean that it takes longer to work. You should avoid drinking grapefruit juice for at least 24 hours before taking this medication as it can lead to you accidentally receiving a higher dose of avanafil than you need.
Alcohol
We do not recommend drinking alcohol while taking Spedra as it can increase your chances of experiencing the side effects of this medication. Alcohol can also make it more difficult for you to get an erection.
Other medications
You should tell your prescriber about any other medications you are taking during your consultation for Spedra. Some medications can interact with this treatment, changing the way your medication behaves and causing unwanted side effects. You should not take Spedra if you are already taking:

Erectile Dysfunction - Causes & Treatment
What causes erectile dysfunction?
Erectile dysfunction, sometimes known as impotence, is a common problem amongst men and may be caused by age, being overweight, smoking, drinking too much alcohol, or having a medical condition like diabetes, high blood pressure, or cardiovascular disease.
The inability to create or maintain an erection happens when there isn’t enough blood flowing to the penis, if the penis cannot trap blood, or when the nerve signals don’t send the signal of arousal to the penis.
Diabetes can cause nerve damage in the penis, in addition to certain cancer treatments affecting its functionality.
Can women take Spedra?
Spedra is not suitable for use in women or those who were assigned female at birth.
If you are not sure whether Spedra would be right for you you should ask a member of your healthcare team for more information about this treatment.

Spedra has not been shown to affect the structure or movement of sperm during testing on healthy volunteers.
This means that this medication should not affect your fertility while you're using it.
However, if you are at all concerned about your fertility and are thinking about taking Spedra, you should speak to your doctor or prescriber during your consultation for this treatment.
Will Spedra make me get an erection when I’m not having sex?

These tablets won’t make you get an erection without stimulation, so there’s no need to worry about embarrassing moments if you are interrupted before you can have sex after taking your medication.
