What is QV Intensive Ointment For Very Dry Skin Conditions – 450g?

This ointment is designed to be used by those who are suffering from dry skin as a result of a skin condition. This ointment is non-greasy and is an emollient balm that will rehydrate the skin. It also protects and soothes the skin in order to promote healing. This ointment is fragrance and colour free.

How does it work?

QV Ointment works by going deep into the skin and helping to restore the moisture in the skin that has been lost as a result of a skin condition such as eczema and psoriasis. This then helps to reduce the skin condition and restore the skin to its natural state.

Who is this ointment suitable for?

It is suitable for adults and children, including babies. It is not suitable for anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the ointment. These include:

  • Paraffinum Liquidum
  • Petrolatum
  • Isopropyl Myristate
  • Polyethlene
  • Cetearyl Alcohol
  • Dimethicone
  • Silica

Can QV Intensive Ointment be used by someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?

There is no evidence of any issues using this ointment when pregnant or breastfeeding. However, it is recommended that you speak to a doctor before using.

Can this ointment be used when using medication?

If you are currently in any form of medication, it is recommended that you consult your doctor before using this ointment. This is because there is a chance that the ingredients in the medication and ointment could interfere with each other.

What is the best way to use this ointment?

Apply the ointment to the affected areas after having a bath or shower. Massage the ointment in gently. Avoid contact with the eyes. If you do get some in an eye, wash it out thoroughly with cool water.

Are there any side effects?

There is a chance that using this ointment could cause skin irritation. If you do notice this, stop using the ointment and contact your doctor as soon as possible.
