What is the Oral-B Vitality Plus White Clean Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush?

The Oral-B Vitality Plus Cross-Action Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush provides an effective everyday clean and helps to keep your teeth and gums healthy with its Cross Action cleaning power. It is clinically proven to provide a more effective clean than a manual toothbrush.  It removes more plaque than a regular manual toothbrush and the in-handle timer helps to ensure you brush for the recommended time of 2 minutes. If you’re looking for a toothbrush that provides a deep clean and is recommended by dentists, try Oral-B Vitality Plus.

Why is it important to brush your teeth?

Brushing your teeth, effectively, twice a day helps to keep your teeth and mouth healthy. Maintaining a healthy oral hygiene routine prevents bacteria and plaque build-up which can help to protect your teeth and gums from health issues such as gum disease and tooth decay.

What is gum disease?

Gum disease is a common oral condition which causes the gums to become inflamed, painful or infected. One of the most common symptoms of gum disease is bleeding gums when you brush your teeth or bad breath (also known as gingivitis). If these symptoms are not treated, it develops into a condition known as periodontitis which affects the tissues that support your teeth and keep them in place. Periodontitis can cause serious symptoms including:

  • The bone in your jaw becoming damaged
  • Small spaces opening between the gum and teeth
  • Teeth can become loose and can eventually fall out

What is tooth decay?

Tooth decay is caused by a build-up of plaque which turns sugars into acid. One problem that is caused by tooth decay is dental caries, which can cause a range of oral hygiene issues including:

  • Toothache - either continuous pain keeping you awake or short bursts of sharp pain
  • Tooth sensitivity - feeling tenderness or pain when eating or drinking something hot, cold or sweet
  • Grey, brown or black spots - appearing on your teeth
  • Bad breath
  • An unpleasant taste in your mouth

What is included with this Oral-B Vitality Plus White CleanToothbrush?

  • 2 x toothbrush heads

Electric Toothbrushes Vs Manual Toothbrushes

There are pros and cons for both electric and manual toothbrushes so choosing which one is best for you depends on your personal preferences. Both electric and manual toothbrushes can clean your teeth effectively. One pro of electric toothbrushes is that they can contain built-in timers and programmes which can ensure you are brushing your teeth correctly, however they can be expensive. Manual toothbrushes can offer a less expensive option, but they can take more time to cover all of the tooth surfaces and it can be easy to apply too much pressure with a manual toothbrush which can damage our soft oral tissue.

Which Oral-B Toothbrush heads can you use with this product?

The Oral-B Vitality Plus Toothbrush can be used with the following replacement toothbrush heads:

  • Cross Action
  • 3D White
  • Sensi Ultrathin
  • Sensitive Clean
  • Precision Clean
  • Floss Action
  • Tri Zone
  • Dual Clean
  • Powertip
  • Ortho care

Take advantage of Oral-B’s range of toothbrush heads to switch up your brushing routine and keep your mouth healthy and happy.

How often should I replace my Oral-B Toothbrush head?

Dentists recommend that you should change your toothbrush or toothbrush head every 3 months to ensure that you’re getting the best possible clean for your teeth. Natural wear and tear on your toothbrush over 3 months of daily use mean that the bristles of your toothbrush get damaged, making them less effective. This can make it more difficult to clean your teeth properly, so you should be sure to make note of when the coloured indicator bristles on your toothbrush head show that it’s time for you to change to a new brush head.
