What is Medijel?
Medijel is a treatment gel that helps to relieve pain caused by common mouth ulcers, fast. It works quickly to soothe your pain and help you to feel more comfortable as you eat, chat, or simply go about your day. Medijel can also be used to relieve sore gums and ease pain caused by rubbing dentures.
What are mouth ulcers?
Mouth ulcers are a common problem that most of us experience every so often. They usually appear inside the mouth or on the cheeks, tongue, or lips, and usually, heal by themselves within a week or two. Mouth ulcers are not always preventable and can happen when your body is going through hormonal changes or if you’re generally feeling unwell.
How will this product relieve painful mouth ulcers?
Medijel contains the active ingredients lidocaine hydrochloride and aminoacridine hydrochloride, which work together to form a local anaesthetic. This means that Medijel will ease pain caused by mouth ulcers, no matter where they form in your mouth, whenever you need relief.
How to use Medijel gel.
For fast and effective pain relief, apply a little Medijel directly to the painful area. Use a clean fingertip to apply the gel, making sure to wash and dry your hands before and after using this product. Apply more Medijel every 20 minutes if necessary. If you notice a side effect after use, then speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. Also, you can record the side effect using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
When should Medijel not be used?
Do not use Medijel if you are allergic to Lidocaine or any of the other listed ingredients. This product contains small amounts of alcohol (ethanol), which amounts to less than 100mg per dose, take this into account before using this product. If your doctor has told you that you are intolerant to some sugars, please speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacies before using Medijel.
